ASMR: Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response
Developing sensory hearing to help achieve inner peace
Welcome!
If you’re anything like me, most of the ASMR videos in youtube creep you out. No offense to anyone, but close ups of people whispering and making different sounds with the goal to calm you down… it sometimes has the opposite reaction.
But that’s alright, not everyone gets the same feeling. ASMR is said to give a tingling sensation that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine. Thats the actual biological reaction you can get with it.
If you’ve never seen an ASMR video, go watch one and see how you feel. You might not like the first one, but there’s many different types. I personally like this type, non-vocal ambient noise.
It sounds a little crazy, but I love crazy. And I meditate often and love nature walks and yoga. All random facts that have one thing in common: they relax me.
Curled up in my student room, with a highway outside my window, sometimes I need calming sounds.
In this page you will find immersive sound experiences, from the gushing of the wind paired with running water and bird tweeting, to maybe more experimental sounds to try out if it works.
Beware, physical and psychological reactions can arise. Or not.
